The Mad Drool & Jessica Frew Collaboration
Who is Jessica Frew?
She is a 23-year-old model, actress, pre-law student, and author of a book called The Nonverbal Princess.
Living with cerebral palsy and using a Tobii eye-gaze computer to communicate, she’s a fierce advocate for fashion, dignity, and inclusion. She is proud of the collaboration with Mad Drool and believes “The Jessica” is a product that people of all ages and abilities need because they are stylish, functional, and were made to help people to feel confident and seen.
The story behind "The Jessica" and Mad Drool:
In 2018, Jessica Frew rolled up in her wheelchair to Mari at a fashion show and used her Tobii eye-gaze computer to ask:
"Can you make me a bib that doesn’t make me look like I’m a cowgirl or a baby?"
That question sparked not only a friendship but also years of collaboration on what would be one of Mad Drool’s first adaptive bib designs; "The Jessica".
At the time, Mari lived in Minnesota and Jessica lived in New Jersey. Working long-distance, they tested
prototypes and built a product that reflected Jessica's bold style and daily needs.
“The Jessica” honors that collaboration and everything Bee Human Design Group and Mad Drool stand for: to promote dignity, self-expression, and empowerment through fashion.

“Change never happens at the pace we think it should. It happens over years of people joining together, strategizing, sharing, and pulling all the levers they possibly can. Gradually, excruciatingly slowly, things start to happen, and then suddenly, seemingly out of the blue, something will tip.”― Judith Heumann
Made With Purpose, Responsibly
Every product is proudly made in Denver, CO, USA. We are actively working to source every component and material from U.S. manufacturers and suppliers to ensure ethical labor, customization, speed to market, and a reduced environmental footprint.
Our commitment to sustainability includes utilizing services like Ridwell for recycling plastic film and packaging, fabric scrap upcycling, and using only recycled and/or recyclable packaging. We’re on a journey to create less waste—because good design should also be good for the planet.
